We are Western New York's premiere summer day camp located on a beautiful 34 acre campus of The Park School of Buffalo located in Amherst, NY.

We are a team of trained educators with lots of experience working with children of all ages and in various specialty areas. We love playing, exploring, and discovering alongside our campers and helping them develop into exceptional young adults.  Focused on the same core values as The Park School of Buffalo — Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Kindness — we nurture our campers to be a positive part of the whole Park Camp Family. And most importantly, we do all of this through FUN, engaging activities and experiences at camp (it is summer, after all!).

We do SO MUCH here at Park Summer Camps.  From our athletics camps, to our specialty Summer Scholars programs, to our epic Day Camp, what we do doesn't change. We...

 - engage the whole child in a variety of hands-on activities and learning experiences

 - encourage campers to try new things

 - help our campers build friendships and practice healthy competition (It's fun to win, but more fun to PLAY!)

 - most of all, HAVE FUN and enjoy the silliness!

Park Camp staff is a family, a camp family, with talented, dedicated educators who work as a team to provide a safe, nurturing, educational, and fun program. Our Director and Assistant Director lead the charge!

Ian Calder, Park Camp Director

The Park School Summer Day Camp holds a special place in my heart and always seems to be a key connector in my life.

I have been an educator for over ten years and currently serve as a Health and Physical Education teacher in the North Collins Central School District. After graduating college with my bachelors degree in education, my first paid experience working with youth was at the Park Summer Day Camp. I began as an activities counselor in the summer of 2008. That summer I learned the true joy and excitement as I got to experience the area's best summer camp. I made wonderful friendships and gained great experiences that would further help me as an educator. Most importantly, I grew a love for the magic camp has to offer and I worked with the camp for an additional four summers.

Having the opportunity to serve as the Director is exciting as it provides an opportunity to merge my experiences as an educator and supervisor into a leadership position that will again lead to more amazing connections. I hope you will join me this summer as we continue to make more wonderful memories and connections at The Park School Summer Day Camp.

Chrissy Galante, Park Camp Assistant Director

I have been a member of the Park Camp family for over 10 seasons. Park Camp has a special place in my heart: I have met and worked with some of the best teachers in WNY, created lifelong friendships, and watched many campers grow up to be young adults who have come back to work here.  I started off as an assistant counselor, worked as an activity counselor, and eventually made my way up to my current role as assistant director.

I graduated from Daemen College in 2006 with my undergraduate in Art Education and moved on to Buffalo State College to work on my Masters in Art. I taught art for a number of years and eventually left the teaching profession to stay at home with my two children. Yet, each summer I come back to Park Camp. This past summer, both my children came to camp and got to experience the same love and joy I do at this magical place for six weeks of the summer.

I am so excited to be a part of the Park Camp team to help plan the activities that your children will enjoy. Park camp is truly a family and we want to invite you to join our family for Summer 2021.

Kevin Wartinger, Summer Scholars and Athletic Camps Coordinator

Kevin has been working at Park since 2016. He currently teaches Health (Grades 5, 7 & 9), Physical Education (PreK-12), and has coached several sports throughout all three divisions in the Athletics Department. As a physical education teacher, Kevin focuses on the Physical Literacy model which is intended to help develop students socially, emotionally, and physically. As a health educator, his main goals are to study topics and create lessons that are relevant and helpful to students’ everyday life.

At Park, there has been an intentional focus to educate members on best mindfulness practices, and Kevin incorporates that into his own practices at Park. Kevin received a BS in Physical Education/Teacher Education from SUNY Brockport. He followed that with a Master’s in Sport Administration from Canisius College. He is currently enrolled at the University of Buffalo in the LIFTS Program which is focused on developing educational administrators.
